215Southwest.com is part of a family of hyperlocal news websites that also includes 215Summerlin.com and 215Southeast.com. 215Southwest services the communities of Mountains Edge, Southern Highlands, Rhodes Ranch, Nevada trails and other communities south of the 215 Beltway and west of Interstate 15.

The site is published by Kirk Kern, a long-time editor and publisher of community newspapers and magazines in Las Vegas and Phoenix. Kern was the original editor of the Summerlin View and other View newspapers for the Las Vegas Review-Journal and also helped launch S The Magazine of Summerlin, along with numerous other magazines. Most recently, he was COO of Battle Born Media, which owned six community newspapers in rural Nevada.

Besides the 215 news websites, Kern also owns and operates www.NVHealthNews.com and www.LVSeniorHealth.com. The newspapers will cover community news, including articles about schools, sports, business, crime and lifestyle centered around Southwest Las Vegas. We are also seeking article submissions and photographs from the public.
