Public Invited to Virtual Town Hall about Upcoming Election

September 7, 2020 by 215staff

Clark County Registrar of Voters Joe Gloria is hosting a Virtual Town Hall meeting on Facebook at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, to provide information and answer questions about the upcoming general election.

Residents wishing to watch the town hall may do so on the County’s Facebook (www.Facebook.com/ClarkCountyNV) and YouTube (www.YouTube.com/ClarkCountyNV) channels, or on Clark County Television (CCTV) and the County website at www.ClarkCountyNV.gov. Questions may be submitted in advance to dkulin@clarkcountynv.gov, or residents may pose questions on Facebook during the town hall.

For the upcoming general election, the County will be providing mail ballots to all active registered voters here, plus there will be 35 in-person early voting sites and 125 in-person polling places on Election Day. This means that anyone who is concerned about being around too many people will be able to vote by mail, and anyone who would rather vote in person using a voting machine at a polling place will be able to do so.

Residents are encouraged to check their voter registration status through the Registered Voter Services option on the Election Department website at www.ClarkCountyNV.gov/vote. County residents who are eligible to vote but not yet registered are encouraged to register to vote. Online voter registration is available through the Secretary of State’s website at www.RegisterToVoteNV.gov.

CCTV is available in the Las Vegas area on Channel 4/1004 on Cox cable and on CenturyLink on Channels 4 and 1004 as well as in Laughlin on Channel 14 via Suddenlink. Live streaming of CCTV programming is available at www.ClarkCountyNV.gov and www.YouTube.com/ClarkCountyNV. CCTV is also available in Boulder City on Channel 4 and in Moapa Valley on Digital Channel 50.3.
