Are you passionate about shooting sports? The Clark County Shooting Complex is recruiting for Part-time and Volunteer positions to assist in various capacities. Interested candidates should be flexible, able to juggle a range of different tasks, be comfortable engaging with guests and have a positive attitude.
Safety on the Range is our number one priority! Some of the duties that candidates can assist include: conducting a safe operation of static ranges, set up and tear down of equipment, managing inventory of ammo and supplies in a retail store, provide guests with answers to questions and directions, register guests and ensure everyone has watched the Range’s safety video.
Part time positions are being recruited for Range Safety Officers (RSO) for the Public Rifle/Pistol Center and pay starts at $9/hr. New hires would shadow an experienced RSO for up to eight weeks prior to being scheduled on their own. An applicant who holds NRA certifications or has previous experience as a RSO can start at $10/hr.
The current operating hours for the complex are 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday through Sunday for the Public Shotgun and Archery Ranges, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday through Sunday for the Public Rifle/Pistol Center and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday for Registered User Groups at the Education Center Range.
“The Clark County Shooting Complex is a great place to work and volunteer,” said Clark County Shooting Range Senior Management Analyst Steve Carmichael. “we are looking for friendly individuals who are safety minded and interested in providing a quality experience for our guests.”
